Pichai and the empty chair: Google defies Congress after Trump burn

There is growing disquiet on Capitol Hill over the fabled Silicon Valley major deciding to send a lower level executive to answer questions from US lawmakers instead of its CEO -- India-born Sundar Pichai. One lawmaker has said he may ask for an empty chair to be placed to placed before a Google nameplate to highlight Pichai's decision to stay away from the hearing.
