Obama family matriarch dies in a Kenyan hospital at 99

Sarah Obama, the matriarch of former US President Barack Obama's Kenyan family has died, relatives and officials confirmed Monday but did not disclose the cause of death. She was at least 99 years old. The former US President often showed affection toward her and referred to her as "Granny" in his memoir.
