Strong earthquake strikes US' California, tsunami alert issued

A magnitude 7+ earthquake struck off the Northern California coast near Ferndale on Thursday morning, triggering a tsunami warning. Minor aftershocks followed. BART suspended transbay service, and coastal areas received urgent tsunami evacuation alerts. While over 1.3 million people likely felt the quake, a USGS yellow alert suggests minimal damage, and no casualties or property damage have been reported yet.
