US, Japan and South Korea condemn 'dangerous and aggressive actions' by China

The US managed to persuade Japan and South Korea to use their strongest language yet in jointly condemning China's "dangerous and aggressive actions" in the South China Sea. The three countries agreed to coordinate responses to regional challenges, prompt consultation during crises, hold trilateral training exercises annually, share real-time information on North Korean missile launches by 2023, and annual trilateral summits.
