Ammunition sales test Pakistan's 'neutral' claim on Ukraine war

Pakistan's claims of neutrality in the Russia-Ukraine conflict have been questioned after revelations of ammunition sales worth $364 million to private US companies supplying arms to Kyiv. The contracts, signed in August 2022, involved two companies, Global Military and Northrop Grumman. While no concrete evidence has surfaced, Pakistan has not ruled out the possibility of the weapons reaching Ukraine through the black market. Pakistan's overall arms exports increased significantly to $415 million in 2022-23 from $13 million in 2021-22.
