US strikes Iran-linked sites in eastern Syria

The United States conducted strikes against two Iran-linked sites in Syria in response to attacks on American forces. This is the third time in less than three weeks that the US military has targeted locations in Syria tied to Iran. The strikes were aimed at deterring further attacks on US personnel in Iraq and Syria. The previous strikes resulted in no casualties.
